Getting Bigger!

This baby boy is growing growing growing, and is even bigger than this today. We are thinking about naming him Owen but were not 100 percent sure, well I am but Tim's not. I am growing too as you can see. I am starting to get uncomfortable and sleeping is becoming more difficult. This pregnancy is very different from the first. This baby is carrying very high...Zach's was the opposite. He is constantly in my ribs and it can be painful and take my breath away. I can't wait for him to drop. I can feel him move all day long and sometimes all night. Tim has been able to feel him multiple times and I am getting so excited to meet our son!

The Happiest Place on Earth

About a month ago we went to Disneyland! It was so much fun and Zach had a blast! We had hopper tickets so we also went to California Adventure. We spent 3 days there and then went to Tim's sisters house for the weekend. We also stayed a few nights with my best friend Lindsay. Here are some pictures of our trip:

Building a fort with the boys
At the museum, big fish!
I grew up in this house, I miss it! They were filming at it!
Bugs life Land!
We bought Zach this Pooh Bear, he loves it!
The Haunted Mansion, his first ride!
Finding Nemo, Zach's Favorite ride.
Apparently my knee was digging into Tim's leg.
I love Zach's expression.
Toy Story box!
Pulling on the sword
He would not let go!
Dumbo, his least favorite ride.
On the Farris wheel, it was sooo windy!
More Nemo
On the Jungle Safari
Waiting in line. Lines were short the whole trip, it was great.

Zach Update

I realized that I haven't done an update on Zach in a while. He is will be 15 months in 2 days and he is getting so big and becoming such a little man. He melts my heart.

Things he likes:

* Balls
* Doors
* Slamming cupboards
* Milk
* Sweet Potato Fries
* Playing with moms makeup
* Skyping
* Making silly faces for the camera
* Playing with curtains
* Giving hugs
* Going for walks
* Visiting Grandparents...and many more things

Things he is not so into:

* Diaper changes
* Waiting for his bottle of milk
* Terrified of the DVD player
* Cartoons
* The Dark
humm, there's not much he doesn't like.

He is so gentle with everyone and I just adore this boy from head to toe. He is my best friend and I can't wait to see how he will be with his little brother.

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue....we're having Boy #2!!

It's another Boy!!! We are so excited to have another son. I can't wait to pull out all of Zach's old clothes and see all the cute outfits. I have tried to think of names but I can't seem to find the perfect match...it's kinda frustrating. I also wonder if this baby will look similar to Zach and look like his dad or be like me. It would be fun for him to be a little darker like me. I guess we will see!

Baby #2 Update

This Pregnancy is flying by so far which is nice because last time it felt like it lasted forever. I had my first baby doctor appointment this week and I heard the heartbeat for the first time! It took a little while to find it but it was for sure there. We're scheduling a repeat c-section for the end of March. I can try a VBAC if I go into labor before 39 weeks but my doctor said that's most likely not going to happen and to plan for a c-section. The thought of just going straight to the c-section is relieving in a way because last time I labored for 16 hours before the c-section and I was exhausted by that point. It was a little to much for me to handle.

As for symptoms at about 91/2 weeks....nothing to bad. I get nauseous every once in a while, mostly at night. I hate throwing up so I fight it as hard as I can. My back hurt really bad my first pregnancy and it hurts again. The most annoying symptom is having to pee a lot! I don't really mind it during the day but I hate being interrupted at night. I will lay there until it hurts....dumb I know but if I get up then it takes me a while to go back to sleep, sometimes hours. I also already feel huge. I am bloated all the time and I am feeling ligament pains much earlier this time, which can be annoying. I guess they say a balloon that has already been blown up once, blows up faster the second time. Well, I can't believe I am about a fourth of the way done. We are going to go next month around 16 weeks and see if we can find out the gender early! I would love another boy but a girl would be exciting too.. I feel like it's another boy :)

Family Reunion

This weekend we went to Island Park, Idaho for a family reunion. We had sooo much fun. It is such a beautiful place. The picture below is of Big Springs, we canoed down this river and we saw a Moose and her baby. I was a little scared at first because I saw this show one time called Moose Gone Wrong or something like that. We also spent a day in West Yellowstone. I have never been to such a beautiful place, I wish we were able to spend more time there. We went to Old Faithful and had lunch as well.
Big Spring Idaho
The water is so clear its ridiculously gorgeous

Old Faithful

Zach doesn't look to happy to have his picture taken A Video of Old Faithful

We also enjoyed long games of foosball, I am a pretty good defender. We also went four-wheeling which I loved and would probably go everyday if could. There was lots of good food too, so good that Zach did not refuse any of it! It was great to spend time as a family and I just have to say......I LOVE MY IN-LAWS!

A Mom of 2 under 2

Yep, Zach is going to be a big brother! We are so excited to be increasing our family. When I think of being a mother of two, I feel very excited but also very nervous. I remember how difficult it was trying to breastfeed. I was not very successful doing so with Zach because of some health problems I had. With this next baby I really want to be able to breastfeed. I know it will be hard and even more complicated than the first because I will have a toddler running around as well.If his sibling is anything like Zach than having 2 kids will not be so hard. But I am not so sure I will continue to have angel babies like Zach. I am sure there is a little menace up there in heaven waiting to come down, and this one could be it. I strongly felt like Zach needed to have a sibling close in age to play with and become good friends with.

I have been feeling great for the most part. I have had some morning sickness which I never had with Zach. I am sure mine isn't even as bad as some people get it and for that I am thankful. We are expecting this baby to arrive April 6th!

Zach's One!

My baby is one! Zach turned 1 a few weeks ago and I can't believe how much he has grown! He went from this...

to this!
I would not change one thing about this boy.

So his stats for his 1 year check up were : 23.8 lbs, 31 inches. He is bigger than both Tim and I were at a year.

This year has been the best year of my life and I love being a mother. I love waking up and walking into Zach's room and seeing him smile and picking him up and giving him a hug and a kiss every morning. He is just the happiest kid and he makes me laugh all the time. We have the greatest time together. He really is my little buddy and I love him more than I ever thought I could love a person. Happy Birthday son!

Zach's First 4th of July!

Well, this is officially the last of the first holidays for Zach. He will be 1 in just two weeks! I can't believe it. I remember last year on the 4th I felt like I was going to burst, I could feel him kick and kick with each fire work explosion. This year, I got to hold him while he looked at each firework with curiosity. Much better that being kicked I must say.

This year we were so lucky to be able to attend the Stadium of Fire, the big 4th celebration here in Provo. Tim works for Qualtrics and they were the #1 sponsors for the event, so they gave each of their employees 4 tickets. We took my brother Nick and Tim's brother Micheal. We had a blast. The show opened with sky divers who were to land right behind us. They came right above us, I seriously thought they were going to take us out. It was one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. David Archuleta and Brad Paisley were the performers for this years show. David was amazing and Zach loved dancing to his music. Brad was good too, but I am not that into country music and it seemed like Zach wasn't either. The fireworks were amazing, and Zach loved them. Overall, everything was amazing.

I love the fourth of July and I am so thankful for all of the men and women who serve our country and keep us safe. I can't imagine leaving my family for long periods of time not knowing if I would see them again. During the Stadium of Fire they showed a video of mothers and fathers returning to their families and I cried because the love felt in their embraces was so strong. These men and women are sacrificing their lives so that my family can be safe. I hope that one day we can bring them home from Iraq so that they can be with their families.

Tim Graduated!!!

Drum Roll please.............Tim graduated!!!! A few weeks ago BYU returned my husband to me and I am so happy that he is finally done. He has been in school our whole marriage so I never knew Tim to do anything else but study. Now we have every evening to ourselves and sometimes don't know what to do with all the time we have. Surprisingly we have kept quite busy. Running errands, spending time with family, playing a lot with Zach, cleaning, and much more.

Graduation was in one word...stressful. For me anyway. First there is commencement in the Marriott Center. Zach and I went and when we got there there were a bunch of seats but every time I went up to someone and asked if I could sit there, they said "sorry it's saved." After I asked about 20 different people I wanted to yell, "My goodnees, can't a Mom and her baby just sit and watch her husband graduate?" The answer...no. And my I add I hate it when people save seats. I strongly feel this shouldn't be allowed. What happened to snooze you lose? So there I am trying to find a seat and I end up hiking all the way to the top, diaper bag in hand and Zach strapped to me in the moby wrap. We finally reach the top and I feel like I am going to have a panic attack because I am squished at the very top. I try to calm my self and try not to overreact. I am finally calm and then bam....Zach pooped. So then I hike back down and find a restroom. To make matters worse...there are NO changing tables in the bathrooms. Let me think about this.... were on BYU campus with hundreds of babies and pregnant women and there are no changing tables?
Who built this place? So where were all the moms changing their babies? The foyer...It smelled lovely. After Changing Zach I didn't want to walk up to the top again so I stayed put standing in the foyer. Do you know what a 22 pound baby feels like strapped to you in a moby wrap for hours? It feels like being pregnant with quadruplets....not fun.

The next morning was the much more pleasant part. Watching Tim walk. It was so fun. Tim graduated in Computer Science and his dad is one of the Deans, so he got special permission to have his dad hand him his diploma. What a special moment. We're so proud of him!

Lately

So, I am not the best at keeping our blog updated but don't worry we are still alive! For this post I decide I will just update everyone one on what's been happening lately.

Tim: Tim got a job! He will be working for a company called Qualtrics. We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives. He will be graduating next month. We can't believe that the day has finally come....BYU will finally return my husband! Throughout our whole marriage Tim has been in school. So I don't know what it's like to have my husband come home at 5 and have him all to myself for the evening. I am so excited to experience quality time together without homework getting in the way. I have many fun things planned for us!

Christina: Starting next week my occupation will be, full time mom! I am so excited. Now that Tim has a full time job I can dedicate all my time to Zach. I have been waiting for this for 7 1/2 months. I have so many fun things I want to do with Zach now that we have all day with each other. I would also like to become more crafty and learn new skills. Basically improve my domesticity.

Zach: My goodness Zach is getting so big. I feel like he was born yesterday. Has it really been 7 1/2 months? I miss my tiny little baby, but I also love this chubbster. He is now 20 lbs. He really is quite solid all over. He got his first two bottom teeth in January. He doesn't crawl yet. He is a pro when it comes to rolling though. He will just roll from one side of the room to the other. He also has better posture than I do, he sits up so straight.He makes me smile and laugh so much. I couldn't have been blessed with a more perfect son.
